ABOUT THE SHORT LEARNING PROGRAMMES
Today’s businesses demand on technology to provide efficiencies in order for them to remain competitive in their local and global markets. Be it in marketing, finance, human resource management, general management or any other specialist field; computer proficiency is an absolute basic requirement of any job.
This short learning programme equips students with the skills to successfully utilize the worlds most widely used software package namely MS Office 2007 (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook) and MS Internet Explorer.
WHO SHOULD ENROL FOR THE PROGRAMME
- Individuals who wish to gain a working knowledge and an ability to successfully use a software application such as MS office 2007
- Those who wish to become proficient in MS Office 2007 applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Internet and E-mail.
- Those wanting to upgrade their MS Office 2003 skills to MS Office 2007.
CERTIFICATION
The Office Computing Certificate is a short learning progarmme (SLP) that is certified by The Independent Institute.
Students enrolled in this short learning programme can apply, on successful completion, to be awarded credit for the equivalent full qualification module when registering for a full qualification with The Independent Institute of Education.
SHORT LEARNING PROGRAMMES
All programmes that are available through College Campus’s School of Business and Technology are short learning programmes (SLP’s) that have been specifically designed for working adults. These SLP’s differ from the full qualifications that are also available through College Campus and which are registered on the National Qualifications Framework. Before you register you must ensure that the programme that you select best suits your individual learning and workplace objectives.

PROGRAMME MATERIAL
The programme fee includes all programme material which becomes the property of the student. This material constitutes a valuable source of on-going reference.
PROGRAMME EVALUATION
The programme assessment includes a group assignment, test and formal written examination at the end of the programme. Should a student fail to achieve the required mark, he/she may repeat the programme at no additional charge within 18 months of first registration (subject to certain conditions).
