ABOUT THE SHORT LEARNING PROGRAMME
The majority of companies in South Africa, use Microsoft Windows Outlook to communicate and conduct their day to day business. Often this requires a technician to look after this valuable business tool making you a much sort after person. This Short Learning Programme aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to implement, manage and maintain a Microsoft Exchange Server. Students will apply this knowledge to practical examples of setting up mail servers and perform the maintenance necessary to run the mail server, a critical aspect in the modern business world today.
WHO SHOULD ENROL FOR THE PROGRAMME?

- Individuals that are already in the industry and would like to gain a more formal certification in this field.
CERTIFICATION
The Installing and Managing Microsoft Exchange Server is a short learning programmes (SLP), certified by the Independent Institute of Education (IIE). On successful completion and after gaining some practical experience students can register to write the Microsoft Certification examination 70-236 in order for them to certify with Microsoft.
PROGRAMME OUTLINE
- Install, configure and Management Exchange Server.
- Manage Exchange server and all related processes.
- Understand all the basic terminology and resources involved.
- Understand the relationship between Exchange Server and Active Directory

Classes are held on Saturday mornings over 13 weeks.Please check programme commencement dates.
PROGRAMME MATERIAL
The programme fee includes all programme material, which becomes the property of the student. This material is a valuable source of ongoing reference.
PROGRAMME EVALUATION
The programme assessment includes one practical assignment, one test and a formal written examination at the end of the programme. Students may then go on to write the Microsoft examination 70-236.
